An Extra Scoop

An Extra Scoop is a small, family owned ice cream parlor located in Villa Rica, GA. Our goal is to bring joy and smiles to our local community “an extra scoop” at a time. We aim to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for everyone, including our special needs friends!

Meet Our Family

Scott and Sandra have been married since 2009 and have two boys, Jacob and Luke. Scott graduated from the University of West Georgia in 2003. He has worked in retail most of his adult life and enjoys working to create the best customer experience. He is an avid UGA fan and very involved with the boys’ sports activities.

Sandra served in the U.S. Navy for five years and has worked in the sales, design, and medical industries. She is passionate about special needs advocacy and parent support. In 2016, she started a support group for special needs parents that currently meets monthly at the Villa Rica Library.

Jacob, 13 years old, is smart, kind, and excels in sports. He plays football for his local middle school and dreams of playing for the Georgia Bulldogs and then the NFL. He is the best and most supportive big brother to Luke!

Luke, 11 years old, is smart, funny, loving, and always ready to meet a new friend. Everywhere we go in our community, someone knows him! Luke also has Down Syndrome. His EXTRA chromosome is represented in our business name. We hope that An Extra Scoop can bring awareness and acceptance to all of our differently-abled friends in our community.
